What is GELOSEA?
The GLOBAL ENGLISH LANGUAGE OLYMPIAD OF SOUTHEAST ASIA is an international competition in English for Kindergarten, six Primary Levels (Grades 1 to 6), four Secondary Levels (Secondary 1 to 4), and one Senior Secondary Level (Grade 11 & 12).
It aims to promote excellence and proficiency in Mathematics through friendly global competitions and to promote Southeast Asian tourism, with the Philippines as the first destination, then Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and other SEA countries to other country partners
worldwide.

| Grade Level | Kindergarten-Grade 12 Results will be compared within the same year level group |
| Format | Kindergarten & Primary Levels (Grades 1 to 6): The multiple-choice test covers FOUR (4) CATEGORIES namely: Reading Comprehension (30 marks), Analogy (20 marks), Vocabulary and Spelling (20 marks), and Grammar & Correct Usage (30 marks). Secondary Levels 1 to 4 & Senior Secondary Level: The multiple-choice test covers FIVE (5) CATEGORIES namely: Reading Comprehension (30 marks), Analogy (20 marks), Vocabulary and Spelling (20marks), Grammar & Correct Usage (30 marks), and Essay Writing (10 marks). |

Awards
GELOSEA National Round.
Higher 60% of the total number of participants shall qualify for the International Round and shall
be entitled to one of these awards based on their scores:
| Diamond Award | 90 points or higher | Medal & Certificate |
| Gold Award | 75 – 89 points | Medal & Certificate |
| Silver Award | 60 – 74 points | Medal & Certificate |
| Bronze Award | Below 60 points and Remaining Participants in the 60% cut | Medal & Certificate |
| Lower 40% | Certificate of Participation |
